Dr Tyron Venn

Dr Tyron Venn is a Senior Research Fellow in the School of Agriculture and Food Sustainability at The University of Queensland. A natural resource economist, his research focuses on the design and evaluation of resource and environmental policy, with particular expertise in forestry, carbon, biodiversity conservation and sustainable land management. Tyron’s work examines the environmental, social and economic trade-offs associated with forest and wood product value chains, silvopastoral systems, wildfire risk mitigation and natural resource management. His research supports evidence-based approaches to sustainable timber production, carbon sequestration and the role of forests and trees in resilient agricultural landscapes across Australia.
